Earth in the Year of the Earth Ox

What do Earth Day Masters have to look forward for this year of 2009? The outlook is quite uplifting in certain respects, as all Earth people will find that they are able to benefit tremendously from their friends or partners throughout the year. However, this applies to all except for those who were born in the summer months (between May and July).

There is good possibility for new ventures and partnerships this year, so do go all out in trying to set something up for yourself that could bring in long-term returns. But the key word here is long-term - steer clear of fast, quick, short-term gains and concentrate on more lasting projects and investments.

This year, Earth people might want to get out more and mingle with their friends and acquaintances, as it’s the people you know who will lead you to the people you want to know (ie. high-flyers in high places!) You will stand a chance to meet recognised individuals of high social standing - the cream of the crop of society - through your mutual friends. And this also benefits you if you’re looking around for investors, because your friends and the people they know could be your potential investors. They will be lining up, ready to invest, with cash in hand... so be prepared to go all out and dazzle them with your brilliant ideas and proposals.

However, Earth people born in the Summer months should be a little careful this year. Things are not exactly very smooth for you, and it would seem that situations and incidents favour those around you more than it favours you. But the way out is to be less rigid and more compromising - work WITH the people around instead of against them. Don’t throw down ultimatums or pick fights. This year, it’ll be good to bear in mind - if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em! Things will work out better for you this way.

Earth people born during the winter months (between November and January) should pay attention to health issues related to the stomach. Watch out for indigestion, food poisoning, infections, and the like.

In terms of work, Earth people are expected to sail through the year a little better than the others, but you’ll need to be a little more wary and guarded when it comes to relationships. If you’re already in relationships or starting a new one, there are possible third-party interferences to guard against. If there’s someone you really like whom you want to get to know, avoid asking for an introduction through a friend, or getting your friends involved in some way. The likelihood of the object of your affection hooking up with one of your friends instead of you is possible during this volatile year of the Ox. In general, where matters of the heart are concerned for Earth people, it’s a year to be cautious and maybe a bit more careful and wary than most. Don’t be so paranoid and suspicious as to spoil your relationship, but do remember to take off your rose-tinted glasses every so often and see the real picture so that you’re not blindsided or taken for a ride.
