| Module 1, 18th August 2007 A Feng Shui Module 1 class was recently conducted by Mr. Hung Hin Cheong, and attended by enthusiasts who wished to begin their journey into the fascinating world of this ancient metaphysical science. Students were first introduced to the definition of Classical Feng Shui; namely, what it is and isn’t about. And from that point onwards, the questions flew to and fro across the classroom, as the curiosity of the students was piqued as Mr. Hung shared with them the rudiments of Classical Feng Shui. By the time the lunch-break was over, everyone had become more or less acquainted with each other - and having exchanged their views on what they previously thought Feng Shui to be, and what they had learnt during the 1st half of the day, they were prepared…with more queries. Hence, as Hung imparted knowledge of Eight Mansions and Flying Stars, as well as these systems’ tenets with them, some wanted to know how they could use them to better their house’s Feng Shui, and others asked which direction should a house face to enjoy good Feng Shui. The classroom remained anything but quiet, due to the continuous interaction between the students and their instructor! Module 1 ended on a high-note, with Hung allowing his students to present their own `case studies’ to be analyzed and discussed in class. This not only facilitated the students’ understanding and introduction to Classical Feng Shui, but also allowed them a clearer view of how Feng Shui is practiced in real life. Reported by K.W. Tan |
