Xuan Kong Module 1, 17th & 18th March 2007
As one of the Mastery Academy's more experienced Instructors, Vin Leo was aptly designated to teach the Xuan Kong Module 1 and 2A classes in Singapore by Joey Yap. Xuan Kong is a highly specialized branch of Feng Shui, with its versatility in assessing landforms to determining Qi patterns contributing to its popularity and importance.
Vin introduced his students to the concept and idea behind Xuan Kong, along with this study’s origins and rudiments. A discussion on Xuan Kong’s key tenets followed suit, before Vin plunged into theorems such as the Ba Gua and Time Cycles that are essential towards building a strong Xuan Kong foundation.
Since knowledge of Xuan Kong enables a practitioner to just walk into a property, glimpse into what has taken place there and predict what is bound to happen to its occupants in the future, Xuan Kong’s greatest asset lies in House Divination. From the excited, eager looks on the students’ faces as Vin delved deeper into his discourse before summarizing everything up, it was evident that they were only too happy to acquire such profound knowledge - more so during their maiden journey into the `Great and Mysterious Void’!
Xuan Kong Module 2A, 22nd & 23rd March 2007
With Module 1 structured as an Advanced Foundation Program, Module 2A is designed to be an Advanced Methodologies Course. And an overwhelming majority of students who attended Vin’s Xuan Kong Module 1 class just a week ago in Singapore showed up for Module 2A!
Picking up from where he left off in Module 1, Vin commenced Module 2A with an informative narration of the Four Factors that feature most prominently in Xuan Kong. It was clear that his main concern was augmenting his students’ already-considerable amount of knowledge by showing them how to analyze Star Combinations and Timeliness…the very `meat-and-potatoes’ of predictive Feng Shui.
Module 2A finally ended with a discussion on Xuan Kong’s remarkable capability in analyzing health issues to even the most minute detail. And with the many outstretched hands that Vin later shook, the students literally proclaimed how they `came, saw and conquered’!

What’s the relation between one student taking a sip of water, and another picking up his glass some six seconds later? Or an incoming phone call and a glitzy TV advertisement? Or a black-shirted man in an agitated phone conversation, and a thunderstorm an hour later?
The stuff of science fiction?
No, just an awakening awareness of the natural order of the world and the multifarious interconnectedness of all matter and life. And it is this universal unity, and the laws of cause and effect underpinning it, that forms the basis of Mastery Academy’s courses in Xuan Kong (inadequately translated as “Great and Mysterious Void”).
Having ridden in on the back of the northern dragon, Vin Leo now leads the Singapore group of students in an eye-opening exploration of Xuan Kong concepts, theories and applications. In Module 1, he explains how Qi on a plot of land or in a building can be balanced; the way high-rise apartments should be audited; and what “changing the heavenly heart” really means. The oft-misunderstood Direct and Indirect Spirit theory is given special attention at this level.
In Module 2A, Vin discusses advanced concepts such as Qi quality in the eight types of houses; the nature of the Purple White stars under different circumstances; and the Life Palace technique for assessing and forecasting multi-faceted issues in a house. Also introduced are the famous Castle Gate Theory as well as practical applications for examining career, health and relationships.

Teaching candidly, listening intuitively, and drawing generously on his trove of experience, Vin holds his students spell-bound through and beyond each day’s session as he tantalizingly unlocks that very portal.
