Item Description

As part of the Basic Analysis series, this lesson takes you through the fundamental overview of analyzing a BaZi chart to assess one's ability to have children, and to ascertain the nature of the relationship with future or existing children.

The lesson begins with an explanation of the first step, which is to determine the quality of the Children Palace, which corresponds to the Hour Pillar of the BaZi chart. One needs to see if the Children Palace is stable and not experiencing any clashes, harms, punishments, or destructions. Both the Stem and the Branch of the Hour Pillar must be observed.

The second step that students are taught is identifying the Children element in the BaZi chart. For males, the Children element is represented by the Influence element, whereas for females the Children element corresponds to the Output element. These elements are studied in order to ascertain the strength of the Children Element.

Then, Joey takes the students through several BaZi charts in order to understand how these principles can be applied. These charts are studied in detail to analyze, for example, how a strong Day Master in a female chart can have a favourable Output element and how this, in turn, can bode well for childbearing and childrearing for that particular female. A chart possessing the reverse attributes (weak Day Master, unfavourable Output element) is also looked at to provide a contrasting analysis.

More charts are studied in detail in order to ascertain the variables in these attributes. The lesson concludes with Joey requesting that students go over the charts again in their own time, and to further analyze three additional charts for children luck.

As Joey explains, since this is part of the Basic Analysis Series, students will learn how to analyze a chart for children luck, and to come up with the "diagnosis," so to speak, without concerning themselves over the "prescription" or "treatment" as yet. These techniques come later, at a further level of study.

Determine if the Children element is favourable or not
Assess the BaZi chart for the traits and quality of any clashes between the Children Palace and the Earthly Branch
