Yi Jing Mastery Series Module 1 is designed to provide students with an overview of the Yi Jing in order that they understand its history and origins before they are ready to appreciate its use and relevance. The concept of change - or flux - and its constancy and inevitability is the central tenet of the Yi Jing.
Yi Jing uses sophisticated formulas and calculations to derive the answers to questions we pose. It is a science of divination, and in our classes there is a heavy emphasis on the scientific aspect of it. It bears no religious or superstitious affiliation.
With Module 1, students receive a firm grounding in the essentials of the Yi Jing, including learning about the concept of Yi and the basics of traditional Yi Jing, as well as the various different approaches that have emerged and flowered, In addition, there will be a detailed breakdown of the 64 Hexagrams.
