Joey Yap is the Founder, CEO and Master Trainer of the Mastery Academy of Chinese Metaphysics; an academic institution dedicated to heightening awareness of and propagating authentic knowledge of classical Chinese Metaphysics. Today, the Mastery Academy is represented in more than 30 countries worldwide, where students and practitioners from all walks of life pursue their interests on this subject. Joey is also the CEO of Yap Global Consulting; a consultancy firm that offers audit and consultation services on classical Feng Shui, Destiny Analysis, Date Selection and Yi Jing (I Ching) Assessment to corporations and individual clients from all around the globe.

Having received his formal education in Malaysia and Australia, Joey pioneered a method of teaching Chinese Metaphysics by fusing the best of the Western educational approach with the existing knowledge contained within the ancient classics.  This structured, systematic approach not only allowed students to quickly grasp and master the intricacies of subjects such as Classical Feng Shui and BaZi, but also do so within the shortest period of time possible.  Mastery Academy Instructors all over the world utilize this approach to disseminate knowledge of Chinese Metaphysics amongst their students and to date, thousands of students from over 30 countries have successfully completed their studies under the Mastery Academy banner.

The Mastery Academy is also the first international academic institution of its kind to ride the waves of the IT revolution, by harnessing the power of the Internet in promoting continuous education, encouraging peer-to-peer learning, and enable mentoring as well as distance learning.  Through an Online Community, students interact live with each other and continue to build upon their knowledge.

Joey continues his efforts to propagate authentic knowledge of Chinese Metaphysics, which include writing for the Mastery Journal; an in-house monthly eZine on classical Feng Shui and Astrology read by enthusiasts and practitioners in all corners of the globe.  In addition, he has also compiled and produced the world’s first bilingual Ten Thousand Year Calendar – an essential reference guide containing the requisite formulas and techniques required for virtually every field of Chinese Metaphysics.

His more recently released books include Personal Date Selection (which hit the top 10 of the MPH Bookstores’ bestseller list in Malaysia) and More Stories & Lessons on Feng Shui.  Joey is also the best-selling author of many other books such as Stories & Lessons on Feng Shui, Mian Xiang: Discover Face Reading, BaZi-The Destiny Code and its sequel, BaZi-The Destiny Code Revealed, as well as Feng Shui for Homebuyers-Interior and Feng Shui for Homebuyers-Exterior. And despite his demanding schedule, he continues to make guest appearances on TV and radio talk shows.

Clinging firmly to the belief that innovation is the way forward, Joey recently released Version 2.0 of the BaZi Ming Pan Software, which allows users to generate customized, detailed BaZi charts for analytical purposes.  But his latest revolutionary breakthrough in harnessing the power of IT, perhaps, arrived in June 2007…with the introduction of the Mastery Academy’s E-Learning Center – with its acronym MAO (Mastery Academy Online) – where students are able to pursue their interest and study Chinese Metaphysics ONLINE, armed with their computers and Internet-access.
