What’s Next, After Module 1?
Well done! You have successfully completed Module 1, and are now wondering: Where do I go from here?
You have learnt how to plot your BaZi chart. You are now able to identify the Combinations, Clashes, Harms, Destruction and Punishments, which form the key relationships that govern the interaction of the Qi elements in a BaZi chart. You have even familiarized yourself with the Ten Gods, and how these structures influence the outcome of a person’s BaZi.
Module 1 has indeed presented you with a formidable learning curve, but surely you know that the pursuit of knowledge – including BaZi – is a perpetual process!
Give yourself a pat on the back for taking that all-important first step towards unraveling the mysteries that Destiny holds for you. You have Destiny resting firmly in the palm of your hand.
Now, go and seize Destiny by the fists.

Why Module 2?
“Real knowledge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance.”
Confucius
Admittedly, we are all susceptible to ignorance, regardless of how skilled or talented we may be in a certain art or field. It is only human, after all, to err.
A person’s Destiny is the outcome of the interaction between the Cosmic Trinity forces; namely Heaven, Earth and Man. Since these forces are dynamic and constantly influence each other – true to the Yin and Yang concept – wouldn’t it only be plausible and logical that the future is always in motion, and nothing is truly etched in stone? Just as change is the only constant in life, wouldn’t it only be to our advantage to be equipped to adjust or prepare ourselves to face the changes in the various facets of our lives?
Say you are a businesswoman who’s attended Module 1, and left feeling satisfied that you are now able to at least derive a firm understanding of your BaZi. You are now capable of identifying the type of business partners who will complement you well in expanding your business. But are you truly 100% satisfied by knowing only the types of people who are compatible with you? What about timing? What about location?
Or perhaps, you harbor dreams of becoming a respected, professional BaZi practitioner, one day. You wish to sharpen your skills to the extent that when a BaZi chart is presented to you, you will be able to actually get a clear glimpse – as opposed to a murky one – into your client’s characteristics, wealth and relationship prospects, and even foretell which aspects of this person’s health that should be paid attention to, in say…20 years from now. You want to be able to do all these and more, by merely glancing at the chart, don’t you?
What about this scenario: Assuming that Module 1 has presented you with an insight into what Destiny has in store for you, and you actually like what you see! You are destined for great things in life, but right now, you are still rather vague about when these things will materialize for you and more importantly, how you go about realizing your dreams.
In short, you know what you are looking for. We will help you find the answers – in Module 2.

WADE DEEPER, BUT WITH CONFIDENCE INTO THE SEA OF DESTINY
You have learnt how to swim (not just float!) and now, you wish to be able to cross the currents of life.
Still waters run deep, so do not be deceived by the fact that it’s ‘only’ Module 2. Because Module 2 contains virtually every tool and formula that every reputable BaZi practitioner requires in arriving at an accurate, complete BaZi analysis.
It goes without saying that a strong, healthy tree sprouts from healthy roots, and a well-built house lies on solid foundations. Likewise, a sound understanding and appreciation of classical BaZi doctrines such as the Di Tian Sui, Qian Tong Bao Jian, Zi Ping Zhen Quan and San Ming Tong Hui are pre-requisites towards interpreting a BaZi chart from a holistic perspective. And there’s no need to bite your fingernails at all…they are shared with you in plain, simple English in the classroom.
To talk about BaZi is to refer to an entire Chinese Astrological system - and an ancient one, too. Just as a scientist is required to zoom-into a specimen to identify the micro-aspects of his study, he will also find it necessary to zoom-out to get a macro-perspective of the specimen he is studying. An intelligent scientist should also document his findings in terms and a language that are easily understood by others. After all, what is knowledge and discovery, if it cannot be shared with others for the benefit of mankind?
Our classes - and Module 2 in particular - are designed in such a way that knowledge of the Chinese language is not a pre-requisite towards mastering BaZi. This does NOT mean, however, that quality or quantity is compromised upon.
Remember; it’s all about educating and convincing our students, not confusing them! |

What Can I Expect Of Module 2?
 |
And now, we finally arrive at the meat-and-potatoes of Module 2: What you may expect to learn and gain from your course!
- BaZi Fundamentals
- What is BaZi?
- The Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches
- The Seasons
- The Five Elements Classics
- The Strength of the Elements
- The concept of Death and Emptiness
We are sensitive to the fact that you have your own schedules to follow. As such, your instructor will commence Module 2 with the simple ‘warm-up’ exercise of revising the core contents of what you studied in Module 1. Your knowledge and understanding of BaZi fundamentals will be further strengthened by the Death and Emptiness concept, to begin your Module 2 class with. And don’t be intimidated by the term ‘Death and Emptiness’; its presence actually reduces the impact of any event that takes place by half!
- The Ten Gods
- The Attributes of the Ten Gods
- The Relationship between the Gods
- The Ten Gods Family Tree
- Ten Gods in Emptiness
Here’s a hint that should hopefully arouse your interest in Module 2. The Ten Gods are known as Direct Resource, Indirect Resource, Hurting Officer, Eating God, Direct Officer, Seven Killings, Direct Wealth, Indirect Wealth, Rob Wealth and Friend. What does each God represent or stand for, however? And how do they interact with and influence each other? There’s only ONE way to find out!
- BaZi Structures I: Basic Structures
- Standard Structures
- How to Define a Standard Structure?
- Thriving Structure
- Goat Blade Structure
Are you aware that BaZi structures are divided into Standard Structures and External Structures? Standard Structures consist of 9 other sub-structures and External Structures are made up of 5 other sub-structures. Here’s another clue: Each and every one of these structures relates to the Ten Gods. Identifying a BaZi chart’s structure will go a long way in understanding why people behave the way they do, and what’s destined to happen in a person’s life.
- An Analysis of the Day Masters’ Characteristics
- Structures
- Useful Gods
- The Ten Gods
- 30 Principles
Having undergone Module 1, you will agree that the Day Master in your BaZi chart is the first and most important cue towards ascertaining your Destiny. But a Useful God is the soul of BaZi, and easily the most important element in a BaZi chart. It restores and maintains the balance of the BaZi. Above all, a Useful God is the best indicator of practically everything you are – it is, in fact, your very existence. It denotes your wealth, well-being, nobility, charisma, life span, desires, abilities, ambitions, success…you get the picture, don’t you?
- Useful Gods
- The important Factors of a Useful God
- 3 types of Useful Gods
- The Highs and Lows of a Useful God
- The principles governing Useful Gods
There are 5 importance factors of a Useful God, which states that it must not be hurt, it must not be robbed, it must not be damaged, it must not be stolen and it must not be clashed. Literally or laterally, you might ask? Well, you will have to know the implicit meanings behind these factors first, before you are able to incorporate the use of a Useful God into analyzing the structures of a BaZi chart.
Once you know what to look for, finding your Favorable Element should be made easier. To be truly skilful at BaZi, knowing your Favorable Element is not good enough – you also need to know your Useful God. Remember, a Useful God consists of only one character. Say you are a Ren Water Day Master, and have identified our Useful God as Bing Fire, as opposed to Ding Fire. Is there a difference, even if it’s the Fire Element? You bet! The outcomes can differ vastly – if only you know what to look for in the BaZi chart.
What makes us – or our approach – special is that we don’t just teach you how to find the Useful God. We also show you how to classify the Quality of this Useful God. Each Useful God bears with it unique attributes, and therefore also differs in quality. In short, different Useful Gods result in different qualities of life! Ask yourself, if ten people were to have Bing Fire as their Useful God, do they really share the same quality, perspective and fortune in life? Whereby did this person with a Bing Fire Useful God go wrong, whereas her counterpart with the same Useful God finds life to be with relatively fewer hiccups?
You might also be curious to know that there are 3 ways in which a Useful God can be utilized: To regulate, to medicate and to arbitrate. How can this be done? Let us show you! It is one thing to be able to decode and know your Destiny. Whether you actually do something about it, or otherwise, will determine how life treats you. After all, knowledge without action is akin to letting Destiny dictate your life for you!
- Gods and Sha
- Noblemen Star
- Intelligence Star
- Heavenly Virtue
- Monthly Virtue
- Sky Horse
- Peach Blossom
- Solitary and Lonely Stars
This is where the classical texts come into play (no pun intended!). These ‘stars’ denote all the presence of helping hands, your capacity in life, your innate nature and even romantic prospects. And we promise that by the time you’re done with Module 2, you will not look at stars in quite the same way again.
- BaZi Structure II :
External Structures
- Super Vibrant Structure
- Transforming Qi Structure
- Follow the Leader Structure
- Two Gods Formation Structure
By this stage, you would have gained a firm footing of the External Structures within a BaZi chart. There are 5 types of External Structures (as listed above, and including Special Structures) with which you will be acquainted during the course of this Module. But more importantly, however, you should be able to tell the difference between each structure and how it affects a person’s BaZi, by identifying the elements that make it.
- Annual Luck Assessment Methods
- Luck Pillar Assessment Methods
- Annual Assessment Methods
The Luck Pillars in your BaZi chart are indicators of what you may expect life to throw your way, in the passage of time. A skilful BaZi practitioner will not only be able to analyze a person’s 10-year Luck Pillars, but even zoom into this person’s luck by the year, month and even day!
- BaZi Analysis
- Career
- The Five Elements vis-à-vis Career Industries/Fields
- Analysis of the Ten Gods
- Money Matters
- Problems and Solutions
- Marriage
- Marriage
- Relationships
- Problems and Solutions
- Health
- Negative Gods
- Stems and Branches
- The Strength of the Elements
Who isn’t worried about his or her career prospects (unless you’re an heir or heiress to a handsome fortune)? BaZi is not about getting rich, but we cannot survive on only fresh air and clean water today, can we? Even in the Scriptures, God created Man and Woman, that they may seek comfort and companionship in each other. Friendships, relationships and marriages are indeed made in heaven, but why is it that some relationships just don’t last? And have you ever wondered how is it that some chain-smokers are capable of living well into their 80s, while there are those who get lung cancer from inhaling secondary smoke?
Science evolves and advances; otherwise its true purpose would have been defeated. The same holds true of Chinese Metaphysics – and BaZi. We have specially developed the Shifting Palace Method to assist students of Module 2 in mastering the requisite skills they need as BaZi practitioners.
BaZi was first invented as a practical science, which can be applied to foretelling virtually every aspect of a person’s Destiny. To merely concentrate on theory is not the Mastery Academy way; after all, wasn’t it Confucius who said: “I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.”
OUR COMMITMENT – TO YOU
- BaZi for The Professional
Module 2 has been structured so as to provide you with in-depth, comprehensive knowledge on the tools and methods required to practice BaZi professionally. Yes, you read it correctly.
We will teach, and you will acquire skills that would normally take at least a couple of years elsewhere.

Your course is intended to impart maximum knowledge, within the shortest time frame possible (in this case, only 3 days). You can expect a steep learning curve, which will speedily and steadily upgrade the knowledge you have amassed during Module 1 to a very sophisticated level.
But won’t this put me under much pressure, then?
Can learning ever be boring or pressured, when you are having fun? Our instructors are vastly experienced BaZi Masters and practitioners, who are also human. And being human, each instructor has his or her own unique approach in ensuring that students grasp concepts that might otherwise be too archaic or inexplicable elsewhere.
We keep it short, simple and sweet. Regardless of your instructor’s approach, we do guarantee one thing: You will be reluctant to leave the classroom by the end of the Module.
So, are we talking about mugging and intensive memorization of details?
People learn better and faster when they understand what they are doing, don’t they? Yes, to a certain extent, you will need to put in at least some effort in committing certain details to memory.
But if you are conscious and clear of what you are learning, then the process is definitely made much more interesting, isn’t it? And that’s exactly our philosophy as well.
We show you how to fish, instead of just giving you a fish.
What if I don’t want to be a professional BaZi practitioner?
You don’t have to be one. Remember; BaZi is for EVERYONE. But wouldn’t it be good to know that your skills are equal with – if not better than - those of professional practitioners, even by attending only Module 2?
Forewarned is forearmed, and with the knowledge of BaZi in your hands, you will be empowered to make informed decisions in life. Lest we forget, that is the essence of BaZi.
“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.” Lao Tzu
And the business and career-minded amongst you will definitely agree with this statement of Sun Tzu’s, who penned the strategic classic ‘The Art of War’.
“If you know both yourself and your enemy, you will come out of one hundred battles with one hundred victories.”
