China Excursion 2008 Daily Coverage
The China Excursion Daily Updates include personal updates from the students as well as the Mastery Academy Team, on-site with Joey Yap on the Excursion. It's a very brief summary of the powerful learning experience that is the China Excursion Series as seen through the eyes of the students. Although nothing can match the actual experience of being in China amongst the amazing landforms and breathtaking Feng Shui sites, we hope these updates will allow you to share some of the excitement and energy of the China Excursion Series.

Day 1 - Ancestry Feng Shui Key
12th April 2008 (Sat)
Our first destination was Li Keng, the Lee Ancestral Village at Wu Yuan. The bus ride took over an hour, and we were greeted by a Military Arts mountain star at the gates. Something’s up, but I shall get back to this. The main village is another 5 minutes cart ride from the main gate.

Day 6 – Moving On to Guang Zhou

After checking out from the hotel, we took a bus ride in the morning to Gan Zhou, an old part of the town, and the ride was totally worth it as we had a sumptuous meal and the icing on the cake is that the restaurant itself was in an ancient building, breath-taking architectural.

Day 7 – Pulse of the Dragon

Walking all the way up the mountains, do you feel it's pulse? A helicopter may give you an arial view, but you need to be WITHIN the Dragons to find the vein, too feel it's charisma. You need to walk along the curves of the embraces, pass thru the water mouth.

Part II, Day 1 - Flatland Dragons

Story has it that Confucius' burial site had been pre-selected by King Wen. Many disciples were baffled by the decision - the site is relatively flat, and there was no river flowing thru the area. Without substantial mountain and water, how could there be good Feng Shui?

Part II, Day 2 - High Level Dragon, Mount Tai
22nd April 2008 (Tue)
Today's walk up Shan Dong's Mount Tai was not as nerve-wrecking as climbing up Dragon Tiger Mountain. Nor was it as tiring as hiking up Guang Zhou's Mt. Bai Yun. But Mt. Tai, one of the Five Sacred Mountains, is where emperors from old dynasties would go to pray for peace and stability. We want to know why.

Part II, Day 3 - The Last Dragon by the Ocean
23rd April 2008 (Wed)
The final day of the China Excursion 2008 begins with the tour guide informing us that today's Mount Lao is not higher than yesterday's Mount Tai. In reality it is less than half the height. Temples are to be expected, but the biggest difference is that Mt. Lao's temple is at the foot of the hill which attracts a steady bustling of pilgrims and tourists.
